Animation Then, Now, And In The Future
People have always loved to be entertained. There are many methods that people seek out this entertainment. One of the most popular methods is by watching television. Television has been a staple in people’s lives since its invention. The entertainment found on television varies depending upon the channel that one is tuned in to, of course, but the one constant that has entertained both adults and children has been animation. Animation has been the source for much enjoyment for many people, but, those that watch it are often unaware of how much goes into even a minute of their favorite shows.
Animation had a very humble start as simply drawings on a paper changed bit by bit on subsequent pieces of paper to give the illusion of movement. These were then painstakingly put through a process of taking pictures and then putting them together on a reel. Since then, we have moved past this process into something more digital. All of the work is now done with computers and while the process has been streamlined, there is still a great deal of creativity and uniqueness that goes into an animated work. Computers have made everything easier when it comes to creating an animated feature, but coming from such humble roots, animation has reached a new height of creativity and we are able to make something much more intuitive and entertaining.
