GOOFY TEACHES ROAD RAGE
Here's one of my favorite classic Goofy cartoons teaching us all how to be real assholes behind the wheel. 'Motor Mania' is an ode to the dickhead driver of yesteryear.

THIS WEEK IN FLASH 5/29/7
Perhaps you were wondering what those flat circles and squares were on your TV screen, floating along weightlessly, pretending to be animated cartoons. Thank goodness Tibby 101 has come along to explain it all to us.

Well, it's hard to argue with results like that! Good luck with that job search, Tibby!

WAR PHOTOGRAPHER = SHRED FEST
Heathen vikings go head to shred in a ripping seaward battle of the bands in this piece from Joel Trussell found on Atom Films.

Great design. The animation is too limited for my tastes and I wish the soundtrack was punched up one more notch. More shredding! Thumbs down to Atom Films for the shitty compression and tricky embedding that only allows this video to be viewed on their site. Laaaammme.

Nothing like an epic robot battle drawn on post it notes to while away the late night hours... I am more impressed with the effort than the outcome.

LADY TROUBLES
Alex Hirsch's student movie at CalArts (I think he did this one as a bonus) shows that the energy of a student, a good idea combined with a knowledge of Flash and After Effects can make for a great cartoon. The character work is simple, but the story is good. It's a little long for my tastes, but hats off to Alex. This has now been featured on Digg, and Cold Hard Flash.

GF's TWOFER TUESDAY - Guitar Edition
Today's selections serve as a bombastic tribute to the noblest, most triumphant musical instrument known to man: the electric guitar. Whether its a cumbersome, sloppy-joe-style Gibson, or a slinky Stratocaster dive bombing from a Marshall half-stack, the pinched harmonic squeal of a searing seven-minute solo has launched generations sof silver studded fists skyward. Today's 'toons replaces a rosewood fretboard with a keyframed timeline to create a righteous rock n' roll animated anthem, IN FLASH no less!

First up is the Guitar Shred Show. Dr Fastfinger offers your flabby fingers a much needed workout, or lets you become his axe-wielding surrogate against an evil accordion aficiando.

The B-Side of todays twofer is an oldie but baddie, the groundbreaking fan created video "Don't Stop Believing: A Tribute to America."
